Product Information

PPD IV is a new technology recorder developed as a "high-speed multi-channel data recorder".
It has eight slots that can accept a signal conditioning module. The maximum number of channels is 72 for IEPE Ttype sensors and 64 for strain gauges. When it is used with 1.2MB/sec transmission speed, it can save data of 72 each channel with sampling rate of 10kHz at once. Measurement data can be saved into a memory card like PCMCIA type and into PC HDD each or simultaneously. Maximum storage capacity depends on specification of each storage devices. (10GB PCMCIA card available) Also, It can get applicable signal using strain/voltage, IEPE type sensor, KJ type thermocouple, Pulse(rpm and vehicle speed), amp module. A user can monitor input signals with a set-condition program in real-time. With the optional program, RS-300 series, it is possible to analyze real-time FFT and dynamic characteristic of rotation body.

Signal input modules

Measurement condition setting

There are the 3ways to set up the measuring condition of the recorder.

Setup on the front panel : set up condition using a setting button at the front panel of the PPD IV.
Default program : set up condition from the 'condition' menu of the default program installed on a computer via LAN or Loading prior condition file saved in your memory card.
Real-time analysis program : Setup conditions from the RS-300 program provided optionally.

Data Analysis Programs

This program analyzes data files recorded in the recorder.
It can easilydisplay various types of the data such as *.wav, txt, xls, mat and file format including self-format through a spreadsheet or a graph, andimplement analysis of frequency with FFT, Octave, FRF algorithm. Also, it provides a dynamic characteristic analysis function about a rotational body. Multi-channel time-based data can be replayed simultaneously in a dynamic mode and a channel selected by user can be replayed as sounds. It is possible to save analyzed data by activating and regulating FFT, Octave analysis on replaying.
For report and print, it has a function to edit graphs and spread sheet, to save data as image file. Additionally it converts data file into various filing formats.
